How Much Does A Boiler Cost?
Boilers can range in price, however you should expect to pay around £2,000 (including installation) for a mid-range boiler. There are cheaper boilers on the market, however a credible heating company would always recommend that you choose a boiler from a reputable manufacturer such as Worcester Bosch or Ideal. Also depending on the amount of work involved (ie. if the boiler is getting relocated or if you are switching from another form of heating system to a Combi boiler) the overall cost will vary. The price of the job will also increase if, for example, you add on a filter such as a MagnaClean filter. This is something that we highly recommend doing as it will also prolong the life of your new boiler.
It is always important to factor into the price of a boiler any warranties or guarantees that come with it.
These can save you significant amounts of money in the long run, particularly as the boiler ages which is when fault can start to show. Warranties of course don’t cover the heating system as a whole ie. radiators, pipes etc. however the boiler itself is usually covered for parts and labour for the lifespan of the warranty.
In summary, boilers are not cheap. However a good boiler is an investment and can last you ten years or even more depending on how it is maintained. A good, energy efficient boiler will also help to save you money on your heating costs. Therefore, it is a good idea to check the energy ratings on any boilers that you are considering.
